Visit WatchRepair.cc

I supply both watch parts to the watchmaker AND watch restoration services. Please read my website and contact me with any questions.

Oregon has no sales tax.

Those individuals trained and skilled to restore antique mechanical timepieces continues to dwindle. Availability of authentic replacement parts and material for these mechanical marvels too continues to evaporate. I'm confident that my services will please you as they have for so many of my customers over the years.

Consider reviewing my site for both your vintage watch repair needs and if you're a watchmaker - I'll be happy to work with you to see that you receive an illusive part that you're in need of to complete a project that you're working on. Either way, I'll be happy to help.

Examine the below photographs of the case restoration services that I'm able to undertake for you. These early mechanical watches were made SO well, that our efforts will result in your family heirloom watch looking and performing as new. This is a testament to how brilliantly their initial design and manufacturing were as much as it is a testament to my dedication to my craft and willingness to go the extra mile during it's servicing.

Please learn more about my antique watch repair services at watchrepair.cc It's a sister site dedicated fully to describing my watch repair services.

Rogin Starweld Laser Welder:
If the exterior of your watches case and case back have clearly worn after many years of faithful use, we do have some options relating to it's restoration that I'd like to detail.

There isn't a long-term durable approach to re-plating any such watch case with a  standard yellow gold color.  This improper approach that some use to re-plate an  item with a gold color is an electro-chemical process and simply isn't durable enough for standard use.  It'll look good for a few weeks and then it begins to look worn and quite ugly.  I don't offer this yellow gold plating service as it can cause more harm than help.

The only long term durable approach to re-plating any base metal case (brass foundation) is through rhodium plating. This procedure results in a beautiful appearance with the watch cases final color and sheen being similar to silver, white gold or platinum and not yellow-gold in color.   This process requires hand preparation, double copper plating and then a double  rhodium plating.  To restore your case to look new again begins at $200. This accounts for the extremely high price of rhodium ($1650 /oz.) and the many hours of labor involved.

Please examine the before and after photos and expect your worn case to turn out as beautiful as this one did.  Normally, most of the rhodium plating case restorations that I do are for families that have a WWII serviceman's wrist watch made by Elgin, Hamilton and Waltham yet many other watches will benefit from this case restoration process. Send along a detailed description of your watch and a digital photo if possible and I'll be glad to determine suitability and an estimated cost of this spectacular case restoration service.
